How to Configure Custom Fields with SureRank
This guide explains how to connect custom fields with SureRank and use them for SEO titles, descriptions, and social images.
Step 1: Create Custom Fields
First, create your custom fields using your preferred custom field plugin.
Make sure you have:
- Field Type
- Field Label
- Default Value (optional)
These fields will later be used inside SureRank.

Step 2: Edit a Post or Page
- Open any post or page where the custom field is assigned.
- Scroll down to the editor area.
- You will see a meta box (below the editor) where the custom field appears.

Step 3: Open SureRank Settings
- Click on the SureRank icon while editing the post.
- The SureRank panel will open.

Step 4: Use Custom Field in SEO Title or Description
- Click inside the Search Engine Title or Description field.
- Enter the custom field name. %custom_field.sr_title%
- Save the changes.
custom_field is the fixed keyword used by SureRank sr_title is the custom field name.
You can replace sr_title with any custom field name you have created.
For example:
%custom_field.product_name%
%custom_field.featured_image%
%custom_field.custom_heading%
Once added, the SEO title or description will automatically pull data from the custom field.

Step 5: Use Custom Field for Social Images
- Go to the Social settings inside SureRank.
- Enable the option to use a Custom Field for images.

- Enter the custom field name. %custom_field.sr_image%
- Save the settings.
SureRank will now use the image from the custom field as the social sharing image.

Final Result
- SEO titles update automatically using custom field data
- Meta descriptions pull dynamic values
- Social images are fetched directly from custom fields
